Alan and Vicky wanted us to design an outdoor space in their backyard that would be ideal for entertaining.
Our biggest challenges included the dramatic elevation change between the backyard and the main house, a very small space in which to design for a variety of functions, and overall creating a design that is fun yet sensitive to the original architecture.
To create a flow from the indoors to the outdoors, we designed a raised patio to be at the same level of the main house and later step down at the lawn. Despite the limited space, we were able to incorporate all of the client’s wish list items including a barbeque area, a fireplace, a water feature and a pergola that allows for enjoyment of the outdoors in any weather.
“[They were] the designer and builder on the redesign of our backyard. The project included water features, an outdoor fireplace, built in bbq, french doors and a pergola. The project could not have turned out better. Our backyard is beautiful and truly the showpiece of our property. The project itself went very smoothly. Everyone, including the subs, were friendly, professional and very helpful. We would highly recommend [them] to anyone with a major construction and/or design project.” - Alan + Vicky
