This was your typical 1960’s Ranch Style home in Ladera Heights. read more It had been occupied by the original owner of the home and had remained untouched for over 40 years. It had all the hallmarks of an older ranch; dark paneled walls, low ceilings and lacked open space. In 2008, Abeer and Jeff wanted a home in which to raise their young family and entertain friends and neighbors. Walls dividing the public spaces were removed and ceilings were raised; doors and windows were placed so all spaces naturally flowed to the outdoors and the outdoors were brought in. This created a space outside and brought the outside in. “One of the things I love about ranch style homes is that they are one story tall and are built on wide lots.
