To say that women have come a long way when it comes to owning a business would be a vast understatement. The road to being on equal footing in an ever-challenging business world has been paved by successful, strong women, for which I am grateful.
When I started my design business 22 years ago, I was excited at all the prospects of a new company, wondering where it would lead me. The amazing people I’ve met, the work family I have, and the homes we’ve designed + constructed are beyond what I had hoped. Many projects later, and I still wake up every day loving what I do and appreciating how much SweisKloss has grown.
This is why I am incredibly proud to share the latest news that we have been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the WBEC-West, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process, including an in-depth review of the business, which must be majority owned and operated by a woman or women.
SweisKloss aligns with WBENC’s core belief that diversity promotes innovation, fuels economic growth, and creates strong partnerships in the community. We believe in forging opportunities for women that might not otherwise be given. Through the additional help of WBENC and other wonderful organizations, women-owned and other minority-owned companies can have more resources and a broader, collaborative network of strong business leaders.
