Sweiskloss designed this Los Angeles kitchen with entertaining in mind, creating two separate islands that allow for food prepping, cooking, entertaining, all at the same time. No need for the host to stay hidden and isolated in the kitchen. The large cooking island boasts a prep sink and induction cooktop that allow the host to face and enjoy their guests while preparing the meal. Friends can keep the host company (and even lend a hand) with room for seating at the cooking island.
Perpendicular to the cooking island is a buffet island that encourages guests to socialize and facilitates a flow through the open plan kitchen. Featuring a built-in beverage refrigerator, guests will never be without a glass of bubbly this holiday season. From appetizers to desserts, the island is ideal for buffet style meals and gatherings. Drawers and cabinets store serving platters, trays and other party paraphernalia.
Ceiling mounted task lighting over the island ensures a well-lit work area. Soft close drawers, appliance “garage” for easy access to frequently used items, and plenty of storage keep the home chef organized and efficient.
