Spotlight of the Month: A Fireplace with Flair

Today may be the first official day of Spring, but we still love getting cozy in front of this fireplace in a Spanish Colonial Revival recently remodeled by SweisKloss.

With a dark wood beamed ceiling and white walls, our clients wanted to retain the Spanish Colonial Revival feel of their Beverly Hills home. The focal point of the living room is the original fireplace featuring custom hand painted tiles. Fireclay replicated California and Spanish motifs with intricate geometric patterns and vibrant colors, hallmarks of this style. The layout was carefully planned to create an eye-catching design. SK design team incorporated accents of this style with similar Spanish tiles in the kitchen backsplash, bathroom niche and living room stairs. Aged iron wall sconces with linen shades by Thomas Obrien for Visual Comfort frame the fireplace.
