Design + Construct Spotlight of the Month: Window with a View

Blurring the lines between the indoors and outdoors is a SweisKloss’ design ethos and these massive windows in the primary bedroom of our recent new build showcase that philosophy.

These floor-to-ceiling corner windows were oriented to give the client an expansive view of the mountains in the distance and ensure plenty of natural light.
Achieving this open and streamlined effect was not an easy task. The custom windows were built to follow the slope of the roof with one side being more than 9 feet high and the other over 7 feet high. They come together at a clean corner with barely a hint of the seam. The laminated glass is dual glazed and Low E, meaning it has a coating that improves its energy efficiency while dampening ambient noise. It also features an aluminum frame with a black anodized finish, in keeping with client’s minimalist interior design palette. Custom window treatments provide privacy and ensure a good night’s sleep.
