When SweisKloss was tasked with constructing a new home for a family of four in Sunset Park, dedicating a space where the adults could find serenity and quiet elegance was crucial. The result was this contemporary and stylish library. A stunning fireplace, custom bookcase and striking pendant light fixture transformed this bonus living space into a luxurious retreat. Heat & Glo’s Slimline sleek and modern gas fireplace fits perfectly in the slender space. Paired with the timeless beauty of Marble Unlimited’s black soapstone marble, it creates a sophisticated focal point. This centerpiece is further showcased by the ceiling mounted Bloom Pendant light fixture. The white frosted shade is “inspired by the gentle dynamic flow of paper lanterns” (lightology) and is a distinct and stunning piece in its own right. Our clients can fill the open shelves of the custom floor-to-ceiling bookcase with cherished mementos, family photographs and their favorite novels, while closed shelving on the bottom offers additional storage. Dimmable LED lights help set the mood, while large dual glazed Low E double casement windows allow for natural light and ambience.
